Mission + Vision

Forest Breeze Conservation seeks to slow the population decline of the African Forest Elephant  while providing opportunities to support, protect and carry out research on any Flora or Fauna  that calls the Congo Basin Rainforest home. Along with protecting species in the region, there will be emphasis on establishing and maintaining a mutually beneficial  relationship between the natural world and all people, locally and around the globe!

Vision

Forest Breeze Conservation (FBC) aims to slow the decline of the Forest Elephant by  supporting, protecting and carrying out research aimed at the conservation of all flora and  fauna species in the elephants’ rangeland.

FBC will add to and assist existing patrols in order to protect wildlife. We will also seek to find  solutions to human-wildlife conflict and promote coexistence in the area with wildlife and people sharing the space and resources.

To support species and coexistence in the Congo Basin, FBC will employ a variety of methods  including a veterinary and rehabilitation center, research center, education locally and  worldwide, and capacity building with opportunities for fair-wage jobs.

To support safe movement and harbor for species within the landscape, we will seek to  improve habitat connectivity by increasing corridor space and quality between protected areas.

FBC believes in an innovative and collaborative approach to conservation. While we, as an  organization, will take into account already existing successful approaches to conservation, we  will aim to create additional impact through strengthening relationships between government  officials or agencies and other NGOs in the field. We are better together.

As FBC grows and creates relationships, we are  committed to maximizing our efforts to ensure wildlife/human coexistence becomes a reality anywhere conflict arises.
